Palm Springs inspired Pastel Maximalist Interiors.

Karoline Herr (aka Frollein Herr) is an interiors and fashion blogger born in Berlin and living in Munich. Their home is basically a palm springs pastel fever dream in Germany, with layers of texture and colour creating the softest and most inviting space. Here at Maximalist interiors we knew as soon as we saw their dreamy space that we just had to know more!

We picked the former fashion editors brain with some quick fire questions on interiors.

What does Maximalist Interiors mean to you?

As much as I would sometimes love to live by the principle "less is more" I simply can’t. Neither when it comes to fashion, nor regarding interior. I love pretty things and I love to have many of them. That’s why my flat is always a little "too" decorated. But I enjoy it to the fullest!

Tell us your favourite renovated room?

I think my favourite room in our flat is my office. I redecorated it completely during lockdown and it has become a completely new room. Very light, very calming and the colours always make me happy!

What would your top tip be for finding your home style? Actually I think this is an evolving process. I always like to think that I have found my style but I’m pretty sure I’ll see that differently next year :) Whether it’s interior or fashion: Just do what makes you happy. If you like something, go for it. Try things and don’t hesitate to make "mistake". Everything is reversible.

Top DIY/style tip I love acrylic paint. Nothing in my home is safe from being painted in pastel colours!
